FAQs

Flexible spaces call for a gate that can adapt along with them. The Dreambaby® Brooklyn Converta® Play-Pen Gate uses modular panels to create a versatile barrier or play space, with soft mesh sides helping maintain visibility and a lighter feel in your room. A convenient walk-through gate makes adult access simple, while the EZY-Check® Indicator provides a quick visual reference of the gate’s status.

Designed to adapt to larger and more challenging spaces, the Brooklyn can be configured around your room rather than limiting you to a traditional straight doorway setup.

  • Panel Style: Metal frame with mesh sides
  • AccesMounting: Hardware-mounted

How can I configure the Brooklyn Converta for my room layout?

The six modular panels can form an enclosed playpen, extra-wide gate or room divider. Arrange the panels to suit your space, including angled layouts. When used as a barrier or room divider, hardware-mount both ends according to the included instructions. The Brooklyn mesh gate must not be used as a fireplace barrier.

What size opening does the Brooklyn gate fit?

As a barrier, it fits openings from 85.5–375 cm (33.5–147.5 in) and stands 74 cm (29 in) tall. The usable span depends on the panel arrangement, so measure your space with the intended configuration in mind. Mounting requires at least 76 cm (30 in) of height from the floor.

Can I see my child through the mesh panels?

Yes. The soft mesh panels provide visibility through the barrier, allowing you to see your child while they play and helping them see their surroundings. Always continue adult supervision when the playpen or gate is in use.

How do adults access the playpen or pass through the gate?

A walk-through section provides one-handed adult access. It opens in both directions, with a one-way stopper when required, and includes a Smart Stay-Open feature. Close the door manually after use, check that the lock is engaged and use the EZY-Check indicator as a visual reference.

Can I expand the Brooklyn Converta later?

Yes. Compatible Brooklyn/Denver mesh extension panels are sold separately. Each adds approximately 58 cm (22.75 in) to the configuration and stands 74 cm (29 in) tall. Follow the instructions when connecting additional panels and securing the revised layout.
