What size opening does the retractable gate fit?

The gate fits openings up to 140 cm (55 in) and stands 86.5 cm (34 in) tall. The fitting range depends on the mounting arrangement, so measure your opening and follow the included guide for inside or outside mounting.

Can I move the gate between two locations?

Yes. Two sets of mounting brackets are included, allowing you to unclip the gate from one prepared location and attach it to the other. Both sets must be securely hardware-mounted. Spacers may be needed where skirting boards affect alignment.

Can the gate be used at the top or bottom of stairs?

Yes, following the included stair instructions. At the top, position it on the landing 15 cm (6 in) back from the top step, never below the top level. At the bottom, position it at the front of the lowest possible step. Always check that the gate is closed and locked.

Can I use the retractable gate outdoors?

Yes. The gate can be used indoors and outdoors, but bring it inside during rain, hail, snow or below-freezing conditions. Regularly check that the mounting brackets and hooks remain secure.

Does the gate leave a threshold across the floor?

No. There is no base bar across the opening. When the barrier is not needed, the mesh retracts into its casing, leaving the pathway clear. Extend and lock the gate whenever you need to restrict access.
