What size opening does the Liberty Tall gate fit?

Can I make the Liberty gate wider?

Yes. Compatible Liberty extra-tall extensions are sold separately. Use a maximum of two extensions, with one on each side, and choose sizes suited to your opening. Fit the correct extension pins and required connecting hardware according to the gate and extension instructions.

Can adults open the gate with one hand?

Yes. The walk-through gate offers one-handed adult operation for frequently used doorways. For repeated access when the barrier is not required, swing the door fully open to engage Smart Stay-Open. Close it manually when access needs to be restricted and check that both locking points are engaged.

How is the Liberty Tall gate installed?

The gate is pressure-mounted using adjustable fittings, with all mounting cups secured with screws. Install it against suitable, structurally sound surfaces and ensure the base bar sits flat on the floor. Regularly check the fittings and confirm that the door closes and locks correctly.

Can the Liberty Tall gate be used on stairs?

Yes, when installed according to the included instructions. At the top of stairs, position the gate on the landing 5 cm (2 in) back from the top step, never below the top level, and set the door to open away from the stairs. At the bottom, position it at the front of the lowest possible step. All mounting cups must be secured with screws. Take care when stepping over the base bar.
