Can the Liberty gate be used on stairs?

Yes, when installed according to the included instructions. At the top of stairs, position the gate on the landing 5 cm (2 in) back from the top step, never below the top level, and set the door to open away from the stairs. At the bottom, position it at the front of the lowest possible step. All mounting cups must be secured with screws. Take care when stepping over the base bar.

Can I add another extension for a wider opening?

Yes. Compatible standard-height Liberty extensions are sold separately. Use a maximum of two extensions in total, with one on each side. Choose the appropriate sizes and use the correct extension pins and connecting hardware according to the instructions.

Can adults open the gate with one hand?

Yes. The walk-through door offers one-handed adult operation. For repeated access when a barrier is not required, swing it fully open to engage Smart Stay-Open. Close the door manually afterwards and check that both locking points are engaged.

How is the Liberty gate installed?

The gate is pressure-mounted using adjustable fittings, with all mounting cups secured with screws. Install it against suitable, structurally sound surfaces and ensure the base bar sits flat on the floor. Regularly check the fittings and confirm that the door closes and locks correctly.
