What size opening does this retractable baby gate fit, and how tall is it?

The gate fits narrow to wider openings up to 140 cm (55 in) and stands 90 cm (35 in) tall. The retractable mesh extends across the opening when needed and retracts into its casing when not in use. Measure your opening before purchase and follow the included instructions for your mounting arrangement.

Can this retractable gate be used at the top or bottom of stairs?

Yes. The gate must be hardware-mounted following the included instructions. At the top of stairs, position it on the landing, 15 cm (approximately 6 in) back from the edge of the top step, never below the top level. At the bottom, position it at the front of the lowest possible step. Check that the gate is securely closed and locked before each use, and continue adult supervision.

Can I use the retractable gate outdoors?

Yes, the gate can be used indoors and outdoors, providing flexibility for different areas around your home. When used outdoors, bring the gate inside during rain, hail, snow or below-freezing conditions. Follow the installation instructions and regularly check the gate and its fittings.

Does the gate have indicators to help me check it is locked?

Yes. The gate features two EZY-Check indicators that provide a visual reference when checking its locking status. Follow the included instructions to understand the indicators and operate the locking mechanism correctly. Always check that the mesh is attached securely and the gate is closed and locked before leaving it in use.

Does the gate have a bottom threshold, and can it retract when not in use?

The gate has no base bar across the floor, leaving a clear pathway when open. When a barrier is no longer needed, the mesh retracts into its casing to save space. The see-through mesh also helps maintain visibility between areas while the gate is extended.
