What size opening does the Cosmopolitan gate fit?

The gate fits openings from 75–81 cm (29.5–32 in) and stands 76 cm (30 in) tall. Measure your doorway or hallway before purchasing to determine whether extensions are needed.

Can I make the Cosmopolitan gate wider?

Yes. Compatible extensions are available separately in 9 cm (3.5 in), 18 cm (7 in) and 27 cm (10.5 in) sizes, allowing coverage up to 135 cm (53 in). Choose the combination specified in your gate’s fitting guide and use the correct extension pins and connecting hardware.

Can adults open the gate with one hand?

Yes. The gate offers one-handed adult operation and opens in both directions. For repeated access when a barrier is not required, swing the door fully open to engage Smart Stay-Open. Close it manually afterwards and check that both locking points are engaged.

Do I need to install mounting cups?

Yes. Although the gate is pressure-mounted, all mounting cups must be secured with screws. Install against suitable, structurally sound surfaces with the base bar flat on the floor. Regularly check the fittings and confirm that the door closes and locks correctly.

How can I check that the Cosmopolitan gate is properly closed?

Close the gate manually and check that both the upper and lower locking points are fully engaged. Keep the doorway clear of anything that could obstruct closing, and regularly check the fittings so the gate remains correctly aligned.
