What size opening does the expandable wooden baby gate fit?

The gate expands to fit openings from 69.5–104 cm (27.5–41 in). Its adjustable design lets you set the width to suit your doorway or hallway within this range. Measure the opening before installation and secure the gate sections according to the included instructions.

How can the Nottingham gate be installed?

The gate offers two installation options: hardware-mount it as a swinging gate or pressure-fit it as a removable barrier. When pressure-fitted, the whole barrier is removed for access. Follow the instructions for your chosen configuration, including the required mounting cups. Regularly check the fittings, adjustment knobs and rubber pads to ensure the gate remains securely installed.

Does the gate swing in both directions?

Yes. When hardware-mounted, the gate swings in both directions for convenient access between rooms. There is no base bar across the floor, leaving a clear walk-through opening. Always close the gate and securely engage the locking mechanism after passing through.

Can adults open the gate with one hand?

Yes. When installed as a hardware-mounted swinging gate, the latch allows one-handed operation for adults.

Can the gate be used on stairs?

Yes. At the top of stairs, use the hardware-mounted configuration and position the gate on the landing at least 26 cm (10.2 in) back from the edge of the top step, never below the top landing level. Secure the required mounting cups with screws. At the bottom, position the gate at the front of the lowest possible step. Mount to structurally sound surfaces and follow the included installation instructions.
