Which Chelsea gates are compatible with this extension?

The extension is designed for compatible standard-height Chelsea gates measuring 75 cm (29.5 in) tall, including standard-height hallway models. It is not suitable for Chelsea Xtra-Tall gates. Confirm compatibility with your gate model before purchasing.

How much width does the extension add?

The extension adds 100 cm (39 in) to your compatible gate’s fitting range, providing additional coverage for extra-wide doorways and passageways. Measure your opening and check the gate’s fitting guide to select the correct configuration.

Can I add the extension to a Chelsea gate I already own?

Yes. You can attach it to an existing compatible Chelsea gate without replacing the whole gate. Follow the instructions when connecting the extension and reinstalling the expanded setup, then check that the gate closes and locks correctly.

Does the extension make the walk-through opening wider?

No. The extension increases the overall width of the barrier, while the gate’s walk-through opening stays the same size. Adults continue to pass through the existing gate door.

Can I combine this with other Chelsea extensions?

Yes. Compatible Chelsea gates allow up to four extensions in total, with a maximum of two on each side. Count any extensions supplied with your gate towards this limit. Use the correct extension pins and any required connecting hardware for the selected sizes and arrangement, following the gate and extension instructions. Do not substitute fittings or connect extensions without the required hardware.
