What size opening does this Boston gate fit?

The gate stands 74 cm (29 in) tall and fits openings from 75–82 cm (29.5–32 in) without extensions. The included extensions increase its maximum fit to approximately 96.5 cm (38 in). Measure your opening before installation to choose the correct configuration.

Are extensions included with the Boston gate?

Yes. This kit includes two white extensions, each measuring 7 cm (2.75 in). Use one on each side when both are needed. A maximum of two extensions can be fitted in total; do not attach two on the same side.

Does the Boston gate close automatically?

Yes. The magnetic auto-close mechanism closes the door after you pass through, provided the Smart Stay-Open feature is not engaged. Always check that the door has fully closed and locked before leaving it in use.

Can I keep the gate open when I don’t need a barrier?

Yes. Swing the door fully open to engage the Smart Stay-Open feature. It stays open until you release it from that position. Keep the gate closed whenever you need to restrict your child’s access.

How can I tell if the Boston gate is closed correctly?

The EZY-Check indicator provides a visual reference for the gate’s locking status. Check the indicator according to the included instructions and confirm that the locking mechanism is fully engaged. Regularly check the pressure fittings and required mounting cups to ensure the gate remains securely installed.
